Just as the title says, you can turn almost any empty bottle into a USB-powered LED table lamp with this kit from Satechi. The Touch USB LED Lamp allows you to save two ways: by recycling a bottle for the lamp base and by using LED lights that consume only 1.2W of power. They don’t tell us how many LEDs are used or how many lumens are produced, but the entire lamp is contained in what seems to be a small, white lamp shade. Power the lamp using either a USB port on your computer or a USB wall charger. The lamp is available at an introductory price at Satechi at the above link or at Amazon for $24.99.
I’m serious when I say I need the lamp made from the Crystal Head Vodka bottle. (Click the image for a bigger view of the skull wearing his jaunty “hat”.)
